In Yr4 the plan is to clean, cut and plant flowers on a grassed space within a busy local sqaure. The project will help engage different generations to come together on the project to transform what is an eyesore into a pleasant and greener area.
This piece of work will be developed during spring/summer 2011, once completed we will have a launch day with a bbq and fun day.

An additional initiative for young people will be working with the interfaith project, to help promote religious tolerance and community cohesion.  The young people involved will go to a church, a mosque,a gudwara, a synagogue, a temple and help clean up  the areas, and plant flowers in the vicinity .  Leaders from the religious areas will deliver short environmental talks to the young people. These young people will then go on to act as mentors in schools to pass this positive message on.

Another initiative planned for year 4 is to look at bio diversity and the diferent aspects of it.  Young people will link with Bradford Council to help deliver some of the individual sessions .  This will include:  1) making bird and bat boxes 2) Reusing and recycling ,vinyl records and cartons to make momentoes. 3) young people will do a street audit (which will involve looking at fly tipping/waste, and rubbish that may be re-used, or re- cycled.
