hanging baskets/boxes
Young people took the initiative to a new level regarding the hanging basket initiative. The young people involved through the Christmas period put together some hanging baskets for local residents and business’s in there local area. This built community harmony, kinship, and the Christmas spirit. Gifts in kind were given to the young people including chocolates and tickets to the local football match. A contract was drawn up in order for the baskets to be cared for by the owner and these baskets would be monitored by the young people from time to time. Local business and house front were much improved with the baskets and boxes on display. Recognition by communities was evident.
